Put the salad forks on the left and soup spoons on the right and keep the dessert fork closest to the plate. Actually, the way of placing cutlery is according to the meals that are served. Since dessert will be the last thing to be served, keep the dessert fork closest to the plate. Now, you have to put place cards on the dinner table. Place cards are easily accessible at different stationery stores. You can either buy them from there or make your own. You can use paints to paint them or color pens to write on them. If you are creative and you have the skill of calligraphy, use calligraphic pens to note down the names of the guests on these place cards.
Finally, keep the glasses right before the knife and make sure the water is the last thing you set up. Fill the glasses with water just before the course is served. Also, keep the pitcher on the table so that the guests can refill the glasses whenever they want to. Now, fetch a few butter dishes and salt and pepper shakers, keep these after every four people on the dinner table. Utilize your hard work and creativity when setting up the whole scenario for the marriage ceremony dinner. However, make sure that you do not over decorate the table as this will mean that you have too many items on the table, and there is reduced space left to set up food.
