Ideal London Tours

Taking one of the many different available types of London tours is probably the best way to get to know the UK’s capital city. Of course, there are as many different price tags for tours as there are tours themselves, but this allows tourists to find the tour that best suits their interests and budget.

One of the many London tours options is to take a walking tour. Although, in actual fact this option actually covers two possibilities. First of all is the obvious walking tour: visiting the places you’re interested in on foot, using a guidebook or recommendations from friends for reference. Of course this option is quite inexpensive and very flexible, compared to other types of tours. However it has the possible, or even likely downside of being possibly risky in that you could become lost or visit areas which might not be advisable destinations.

There are also escorted, walking London tours. Unlike whole city tours, they tend to focus on smaller areas and give a more in depth view. But they do come at a price and the level of detail on these tours means that you’d struggle to see the whole city in this way unless time wasn’t an object.

The most popular London tours are bus tours. Several companies offer buses which run on dedicated tour routes, which passengers can hop on and off as and when they wish to see many different areas of the city. This is the ideal way to see most of the city, but it can be crowded or delayed and is relatively expensive. Still, it is an enduring tourist favourite and one which is certainly worth trying. Bear in mind also that some of the companies offering these tours actually operate tours of England or the UK as a whole, meaning that you could take the opportunity to see a little more of the country.
